This is an antique carved and painted wooden Nandi. A Nandi is the sacred bull and vehicle of the Hindu god Shiva. I believe this fine antique dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and was made in India.

His fantastic red, orange, yellows, and black painting makes this piece standout in any room!

Condition:
This item is in fine vintage condition with a few dents, scratches, and cracks and age appropriate wear. Over these years, his paint has faded and he did lose part of the front right horn. Nonetheless, he still projects a fantastic presence. Please see photos for more details and don't forget to use the zoom feature!
