Gilt metal "Selflessness Child" Okimono based on original painting by Yokoyama Taikan. The figure is magnetic, stands 5" tall, and has an amazing patina.
Okimono are typically displayed on a in a Butsudan Altar or in a Tokonoma Alcove. This piece is quite beloved. While many artists expressed Enlightenment by painting images of Buddha, Yokoyama Taikan expressed the idea with just an image of an innocent child.

The piece is in good vintage condition with age appropriate wear and a lovely patina. There are a few tiny chips in the finish; I only found a few on the back of the head (photo #6). Please see photos for more details and don't forget to use the zoom feature!
