Antique Italian Candlestick, Antique Altar Candlestick, Church Pricket Candlestick, Floor Candle, 3' Tall Florentine Candlestick, Torchiere

Gorgeous gilt wood, altar candlestick that is over 3 feet tall. This decorative piece has beautiful hand carved details. I believe from the late 19th century, but potentially from the early 20th century (1900's). Italian made, this item had three claw feet, but one has suffered an injury. There is some normal gilt/paint loss, but two are larger size chips. The pricket in the middle is wood, and will hold the candle in place.

Condition:
This item is very old, and shows age appropriate wear. There are two chips of the exterior finish (photo #9). One of the claw feet has damage (photo #7), but isn't very noticeable unless it is pointed out to you. One of the legs with a claw foot in tack has a crack between the candlestick and where the foot attached (photo #7). This item is sturdy, and has been in my home, surviving with three children under 10. :) Please understand that this item is an antique and will have the look, feel, and charm that comes with an authentic piece. There may be scratches, blemishes, and chips in the finish. None of this wear takes away the beauty of this rare item! Please see the photos for details and remember to use the zoom feature.
